A bird’s eye view on hockeygrounds
As an active hockeyplayer I find hockeygrounds a thankful subject to capture by drone. Many people state that this is the world’s most comprehensive coverage of hockeygrounds.
How I take these photos
From a field corner
To create depth I always include the horizon and shoot from a corner of the field. This way perspective lines come into play.
A club on the road
Our 600 member club is not tied to one ground, so we visit places in the Netherlands and abroad. Teams play in red and white shirts; look closely and you can tell them apart.

In the Ruhr Area there’s quite a concentration of hockeyclubs. Duisburg hosts 3 clubs. Raffelberg is the venue for international tournaments.
